LOCATION
The house is on Old Colony Way, which is off Harry Kemp Way, (the middle, or Conwell Street exit). It is close to the center of town, and slightly off the beaten track. It is a 7-10 minute walk to town center, and easily accessible to the beaches and bike trails of P-Town. The Old Provincetown Railroad used to go by the house and the shack that was attached to it still sits across the street. What I love most about this house is how quickly you can be in the highly energized atmosphere of Commercial Street, and how easily you can forget it all exists when you are at home on Old Colony Way. The house is very sunny and breezy.
LIVING ROOM
The condo is three floors: On the main floor is a large living room with
couches and tables and a TV/VCR/DVD/cable/music system. The living room has wonderful views of the sun setting over the dunes. It is a great room to hang out in and read.
KITCHEN and DECK
There is an extremely well outfitted kitchen with all the appliances you could need for a summer vacation: a microwave oven, a toaster oven and toaster, Cuisinart, good knives for cutting, a pot large enough to cook lobsters, an ice cream scoop and a coffee pot. There are also spices, and a few basic kitchen items to help you get started. Off the kitchen are sliding doors to a large deck, where there is a gas grill, flower boxes, and an outdoor table with market umbrella to shade you from the morning sun. There is also a half bath off the kitchen with a washer-dryer for your use.
BEDROOMS
On the second floor are two bedrooms. The larger room has a queen-sized bed, a reading/writing nook, and two dressers. The second bedroom also has a queen-sized bed and dresser. Both rooms have wall-mounted reading lamps, large closets and good mattresses. There is a full bath on the second floor with a tub and shower. If you rent the unit it as a 3 bedroom, there is also a huge bedroom on the first floor with large doors that open to the garden. It has a large bathroom attached with a shower. Bed linens and towels are provided. We ask that you bring your own beach towels. There is also a beautiful garden in the front of the house that will greet you as you come and go. If you rent the three bedroom unit there is a patio with tables and chairs here for your use. You can watch the hummingbirds drink from the honeysuckle as you relax.
PARKING
For the two bedroom unit there is one parking space in front of the house. For the three bedroom unit there are two parking spaces.
WE'RE LOOKING FOR ...
Our house is perfect for 2-6 responsible, non-smoking people who enjoy the beauty and fun and excitement of Provincetown but who want their "home" away from home to be a comfortable, non-partying environment. We want you to have a good time, play music, feel free to be on vacation. We also have neighbors who work in town year-round and get up early, and we try to respect that. Unfortunately, due to condo rules, we also ask that you leave your pets at home, or in the kennel in Provincetown.
DATES and TIMES
With the exception of Memorial Day weekend, we rent the house from Saturday to Saturday. Check in time is 3 p.m. and check out time is 10 a.m. The dates for 2003 are:
